Transition Project
Developed jointly by our office, two Provincial Departments ( CANSASK and EAPD ), and the Federal Government's HRSDC, the Adult Transition Project is a great way to get back on track in the work world.
We have four goals to accomplish in our program:
- improve your understanding and awareness of yourself and your abilities;
- to better understand your learning disability;

- to help to make your learning disability work for you in the workplace;
- to learn the skills you need to get & keep a job.
This is a full-time commitment of 24 weeks. You will have 14 weeks of in-class training and activities. Then, there are 10 weeks for a work placement. The class activities prepare you to better handle your work and your life. The supervised work placement gives you a chance to practice your skills and gain valuable experience. Qualifying participants are paid a Provincial Training Allowance throughout the program.
The Adult Transition Project has made many positive impacts on people's lives. Many have continued on in employment or schooling, becoming a valuable part of their community. Whatever participants choose to do next, they feel confident in who they are and what they are able to do.
