Tutoring Program
Our tutoring program targets adults and children with learning disabilities. We also look to help those who are struggling with skills in Reading, various Language skills, and Math. Educated, caring teachers, trained in the latest techniques, deliver the program. The program is dedicated to strengthening academic performance and self-esteem.
For children in school, we work to prevent at risk readers from falling through the cracks. Coping strategies for children with Learning Disabilities are also a part of the program
Adults receive tutoruing based on the needs they identify. Perhaps they need to improve their reading for their own self-image. Another situation involves learning more in a particular area so as to pass GED testing. Whatever the requirement, we can help.
Sessions will usually be one-hour long. Depending on the needs of the client, there may be as many as 4 sessions per week - although once a week is more likely. The sessions will take place in the LDAS building at 438 Victoria Ave. E.
The tutoring program provides for:
- initial, comprehensive testing;
- one-on-one instruction;
- enhanced self-esteem;
- strategies for reading, writing, etc.;
- opportunities for clients to build on their own strengths;
- individualized programming which adresses client's needs and challenges.
The results? SUCCESS!
